Three times a Bride
Our cycle trip focussed on the final part of the River Bride, just before it enters the River Lee near Inniscarra. This RIver Bride (there is also another tributary called the Bride, passing through Blackpool) starts south of Macroom and runs for about 21 miles. It is considered the longest tributary of the River Lee. We had three opportunities to see the river: at the KIllumny bridge, the Ovens bridge and a bridge adjacent to Wood Road. These were linked by quiet country lanes and a coffee stop at the Curraghbeg nurseries, providing overall a pleasant 17km cycle run. Most of the core cycle group had assembled at the Hub and were joined this time by Chris and Richard, also members of CRAG.
